The History of our Chapter #985

Our Lodge moved to it's prsent location in Febuary of 1972. And soon after the Ladies needed something to keep them busy while the men attended their meetings, thus the Friendship Social Club was born. They each put up a few dollarsfor dues, held some raffles, etc. to support themselves. Thru their efforts they were able to make grocery bags for needy families, and help the Lodge in various ways, giving money for utility bills, and anything the men needed help with. After years went by, the Lodge Officers wanted the girls to take their social club to a new level and try to put a Women of the Moose Chapter in place within the Lodge. Tina Sharp took on the task and went to work getting the necessary 50 Women to sign up so we could get a Charter. On June 19th we loaded up and traveled to Cincinnati Lodge #2 on Colerain Ave., and were duly installed by the Deputy Grand Regent from Russellville, KY. This new beginning put in place a group of women, without whom, our Lodge would not be what it is today. Joyfully serving our Lodge and families, we are 400 plus strong at last count, and are truly one half of the strong foundation that makes up Covington Moose Lodge.

We've come a Long way baby!!
